New Developments in Belgian Infrastructures

Less than a year ago, the new Antwerp-Bruges port system was born from the merger of the two homonymous districts. Today, this union brings big opportunities for Italy.

Specialized in short-range trade, the international hub offers Italian companies a direct link to the English and Scandinavian markets, thanks to more than fifty weekly trains that connect the peninsula to the new port district.

The hub is the first in terms of exports in Europe. The volume of goods traffic is 287 million tons per year and represents 4.5% of the Belgian GDP. There are great expectations for the Belgian logistic hub, which aims to become a leader in the import of green hydrogen, pursuing the goal of sustainable growth.

GOING GLOBAL? GMA!
