MATTEO COSTARIOL, FOUNDER – GLOBAL MARKETING ARCHITECTURE
Experienced international expert with a proven track record of helping Italian companies expand their business operations beyond national borders. With almost 20 years of industry experience, he has successfully guided companies by conducting in-depth market analysis, devising targeted entry strategies, selecting effective distribution channels, and overseeing international business development.
In 2015 Matteo founded Global Marketing Architecture (GMA), a company specialized in facilitating business connections and collaborations between Italian and foreign companies in the motorsport sector investing particularly in recognizing the importance of both Italy and the United Kingdom as pillars of the European motorsport industry and actively work to create networking opportunities and knowledge exchange between the two nations.
He is a trusted consultant for both institutional clients and commercial networks, providing reliable advice and support in Italy as well as internationally. His dedication to developing practical strategies for commercial growth has significantly contributed to the success and advancement of the companies he has worked with. Having successfully executed projects on a global scale, Matteo possesses strong project management and development skills. Despite his extensive international experience, he remains focused on key sectors of the company, such as Motorsport and Med Tech Industries, where GMA aims to expand its presence.
SERENA CORTI, Deputy Country Director – DBT
Serena has 20 years’ experience in international business and diplomacy. Following a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics at the Political Science and Government University, she holds a II level Master’s degree in Diplomacy, a Masters’ degree in Intelligence and Geopolitics and an MBA in Business Management, Human Resources and Finance. Serena started her career working on peace and security projects for the Italian
government. She joined the Global Challenge Section of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then worked as Economic Adviser at the Canadian Consulate in
Italy. She then moved to the commercial section of the British Consulate-General in Milan as Trade Adviser and subsequently as Head of Unit. In the trade roles she covered, Serena worked with the highest-level prime contractors in the Italian and UK markets to develop synergies and identify new commercial opportunities for the British diplomatic mission in Italy. From 2012 to 2016 Serena was Regional Coordinator for the business Defence & Security campaign working on joint projects with countries in Southern Europe. She has also spearheaded initiatives aimed at promoting women in business and female leadership. Since 2020 Serena has been a qualified Coach and has actively promoted the Coaching Culture across the Europe Network of British diplomatic missions. In April 2021 Serena was appointed Deputy Consul-General and Deputy Director for the Business and Trade Section in Italy. Serena is passionate about networking and public speaking. She is a well-respected and known member of the business community and an advocate for the Anglo-Italian cooperation at international level.
PIM VAN BAARSEN, CEO – SILVERSTONE TECHNOLOGY CLUSTER
Award winning marketeer and business leader Pim van Baarsen has been the CEO of the Silverstone Technology Cluster (STC) since its inception in January 2017. Pim started his career at the Motorsport Industry Association after completing a Masters degree in business studies. During his time there he was presented with the AIM Young Business Person of the Year award for his efforts in helping the organisation grow. He subsequently joined transmission specialists Xtrac where he oversaw their sportscar activities. After two years there he was invited to join Haymarket as Group Marketing Manager. In 2010, Pim co-founded CMA Marketing, a marketing agency specialising in technical B2B marketing. In December 2016 Pim was asked to head up the Silverstone Technology Cluster. He is also part of the Industry Advisory Group set up in January 2021 and is chair of the STC board since 2022. He sits on the Board for SEMLEP Growth Hub and is a member of the steering group for Central Arc Angels Investment Group, as well as being an advisory board member for Be the Business. In his spare time, Pim is a keen film enthusiast and is executive producer of the indie production, Wild Bones.

Paolo Oggioni was born in Monza on February 9, 1979. He graduated in 2002 from IULM University in Milan with a degree in Communication Sciences. In 2004, he earned a Master’s degree in Journalism, Communication, and Multimedia Publishing. From 2007 to 2018, he worked as an editor in the sports newsroom of the national TV channel 7 Gold. Since 2008, he has been registered as a publicist with the Order of Journalists of Lombardy. From September 2023 to February 2025, he served as editor-in-chief of the news outlet F1ingenerale.com.
AMRO KARIM, F1 Business Development Manager – MCLAREN APPLIED
From his childhood Amro Karim has been passionate about motorsport. After being raised in Guernsey he moved to the United Kingdom where he graduated with a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and MSc’s in both Automotive and Motorsports engineering and management. Following this he embarked on a career spanning F3, F2, GT, NASCAR and F1 roles from a Mechanic to Race engineer over the past 20 years working in Europe and America. Over the past eight years, Amro has specialised in emerging electrification market, working closely with the delivery of the McLaren Artura, Ferrari SF90 and Lamborghini Revuelto projects, as well as pushing the technology into the Mercedes AMG development road car programs. In his current role as Business Development Manager for High Performance components at McLaren Applied, he continues to accelerate the adoption of transferable F1 skills and technology into the wider motorsport world and beyond.
SELIN TUR, Managing Director & Chief Technology Officer – Williams Grand Prix Technologies
Selin Tur is a visionary engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in driving transformative technological advancements, delivering strategic roadmaps, and fostering innovation within the automotive, motorsport, and commercial vehicle sectors. Her extensive expertise includes collaborations with Williams, Jaguar Formula E Racing, FPT Electrified Powertrain Engineering, and CNH Industrial Advanced Technologies and Innovation. Throughout her career, she has spearheaded sustainable solutions, harnessing emerging technologies to improve efficiency, enhance performance, and maximize productivity. Currently, she holds the positions of Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer at Williams Grand Prix Technologies – an engineering and technology consultancy, rooted in over four decades of motorsport expertise from Atlassian Williams Racing, applying f1-derived engineering and technology solutions across various industries.
MASSIMO BERCELLA, CEO – BERCELLA SPA
Massimo Bercella, CEO of Bercella SpA, began his career in 2005, while he was studying Mechanical Engineering.
Starting as a production technician, he increased his skills, first moving to design, then to sales, and finally to
general management in January 2020.
He subsequently obtained the Project Management Professional certification after studying at the University of
California San Diego, then completed an MBA at the Bologna Business School.
In 2016, he introduced the Space market to the company, leading Bercella SpA to become a reference company
in Italy for composite space structures.

Riccardo Paterni is co-founder, Vice President for Business Development and Network Manager of RPM the formal Italian Motorsport Network founded in Modena in 2019. During the last ten years he has been focusing on bridging (in Italy and UK) academic and business entities focusing on the development of the Motorsport Industry Business and the relevant knowledge transfer. He is also an entrepreneur co-founder of two organizations that are part of RPM and that focus on motorsport knowledge / technology transfer and business development: MindUP Enhancement Psychology ® (data driven performance focused, innovative mental training in Motorsport and for entrepreneurs and managers) and Synergy Pathways (internationalization mainly towards India and East Asia focusing on aerospace, aviation, defence, naval).
ALBERTO MAGGIONI, Principal Aerodynamicist – Sauber TechnologiES
Hi, my name is Alberto Maggioni, Principal Aerodynamicist at Sauber Technologies.
I have more than 20 years’ experience in the development of Race Cars aerodynamics, in particular Formula 1, Le Mans prototypes and GT cars.
I covered different roles in different teams which allowed me to build up a general overview of the aerodynamic performance of race cars, from the early concept phases till the delivery of this performance to the race track.
IAIN GORDON, GENERAL SALES MANAGER – EVOLUTION MEASUREMENT
Iain has had over 35 years experience in Sales Management, Applications Engineering, Marketing and Product Management of Instrumentation products into a wide range of applications, globally. He has travelled extensively and been involved with Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Marine, Chemical and Food & Beverage sectors.
In 2016, he finally managed to combine his knowledge and experience of Instrumentation with his true passion; Motor Sport, when he joined a growing Evolution Measurement in Andover, UK, as Export Sales Manager. Many of the new business connections were already legendary figures for Iain, who has been avidly following motor sport since he was 6 or 7 and had attended almost 100 F1 races, as a fan and it was easy to connect and understand the subject. Evolution Measurement’s field of expertise is in Aerodynamic measurement solutions and they are both a manufacturer and an exclusive distributor of solutions used both on-vehicle and in the wind tunnel across a wide range of Industries that include Motor Sport, Aerospace, Propulsion, Education, Energy and Education. Brands that they offer include well -known long established names including Scanivalve, Streamwise, D.Marchiori, as well as their own EvoScann pressure scanners. The team at Evolution Measurement also have a passion for encouraging the next generation of Engineers to follow their dream, too, and are often providing guest lectures at universities and playing a significant part in industry events and initiatives.
The company’s large and growing user base includes racing teams in F1, Indycar, MotoGP, NASCAR, Formula E, through to more “everyday” transport such as road cars, trucks, buses and trains. Wherever air is moving, the measurement of it is essential to optimise performance, economy and emissions.

GREGORY EDWARDS, FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR – HOOPER QUINN

He has a Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering and in 2015 became one of the youngest engineers to achieve Chartered Engineering status in the UK. RICCARDO DE FILIPPI, HEAD OF MOTORSPORT DIVISION – MAGNETI MARELLI
Riccardo De Filippi has built a distinguished career in the motorsport industry, with his journey commencing at Magneti Marelli Motorsport as an electronic developer specializing in digital control systems. His initial role involved applying his academic expertise at Alfa Romeo within the ITC, then the evolution of the DTM, where he developed gear control systems.
In 2000, Riccardo expanded his professional horizons by moving to Germany to join Toyota Formula 1. There, he served as the Head of Electronic Control Development, gaining invaluable experience by overseeing the development of cutting-edge control systems. His time with Toyota was marked by exposure to a rich tapestry of cultures, working in a team that boasted members from 35 different nationalities. This unique
environment, which he recalls fondly, greatly enriched his professional acumen.
Riccardo returned to Magneti Marelli in 2006, resuming his focus on software development within the company. This transition allowed him to combine his supplier-side expertise with his client-side experience, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the business spectrum. Over the subsequent years, he took on increasing responsibilities, notably leading research and development in product innovation, which culminated in his
appointment as the Head of the Motorsport Division in 2018.
MARCO CINI, Head of Electric Powertrain Modelling & Test – ALMA AUTOMOTIVE
Marco Cini is an electric powertrain engineer. He currently works at Alma Automotive, where he is in charge of activities related to modelling and testing of high-performance electric powertrain systems. In the field of R&D activities, Marco is involved in the field of predictive diagnosis algorithms and battery State Of Health estimation for Real Time applications.
He has a previous experience in academic research in the field of electric drives and battery systems modelling and simulations.
